The Associate Director of the Business Excellence Dept. AI & Digital Strategy plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing company-wide strategies that maximize corporate value through advanced AI, digital innovation, and data-driven decision-making. This position requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to design mid- to long-term strategic plans, leverage emerging technologies, and identify new business opportunities. A core responsibility is to lead enterprise-level AI and digital transformation initiatives, driving cross-functional organizational change and embedding data strategy at the heart of business operations.

You will be responsible for:

• Lead the planning and execution of AI and Digital Transformation strategies
• Coordinate and promote cross-functional implementation of AI/Digital tools
• Design and deliver initiatives to enhance employee AI literacy
• Explore and assess emerging technologies through collaboration with external vendors
• Develop and implement enterprise-wide Data Strategy, including governance, quality, and analytics frameworks
• Drive data-driven decision-making by embedding advanced analytics and predictive modeling into business processes
• Establish AI ethics and compliance standards to ensure responsible innovation
• Measure and optimize ROI of AI/Digital initiatives through robust KPIs and performance dashboards
• Implement and optimize CRM systems to enhance customer engagement and experience
• Leverage AI-driven CRM analytics to personalize customer interactions and predict future needs

You will need to have:

• Experience in leading cross-functional projects through collaboration with multiple departments.
• Advanced knowledge of AI and digital technologie is preferred.
• Interpersonal, negotiation, meeting facilitation and presentation skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to accept variety of assignments, highly motivated, a self-starter, and performs well under stress.
• Ability to build and manage collaborative relationships at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
• Strategic thinking including the ability to incorporate the perspective of different stakeholders.
• Leadership that takes the initiative.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with proficiency in creating presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel)
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven tools and digital platforms for business optimization and customer engagement is preferred.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and ability to leverage AI-powered CRM analytics are preferred.
• Fluency in Japanese required; proficiency in English is preferred.

• Scientific and commercial knowledge of the rare disease space
• Advanced degree such as an MBA
• Certifications or qualifications in AI and data-related fields
• Capability to measure ROI of AI/Digital initiatives using KPIs and performance dashboards
