Job Description Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Financial Counseling Supervisors with customer issues involving face-to-face interaction with patients and/or their families regarding point-of-service collections, financial assistance programs, Medicaid eligibility and qualifications. This position is the lead for all face-to-face patient direct inquiries/concerns regarding account balances, financial assistance, insurance information, payment arrangements and any other non-clinical related questions.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School or GED (Required)

Demonstrated PC software application knowledge. Demonstrated ability to access and use multiple data systems including billing, registration and scheduling system. Extensive knowledge of insurance; hospital charges; patient accounting principles and financial evaluation techniques. Excellent speaking and writing skills. Excellent interpersonal/communication and organization skills. Minimum two to three years directly related Experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting.
