Position Summary...

Senior Financial Analyst for eCommerce will report to eCommerce Senior Finance Manager with accountability of P&L management, operating performance through results reporting to senior leadership, responsible for short and long-range planning (AOP/LRP), and key finance partner to business/cross-functional teams. This position will work with eCommerce business partners to deliver Sales, Gross Profit, Contribution Profit, and Segment Income targets, develop and standardize meaningful financials and KPIs reports, and to identify and execute automation opportunities and process improvements in the eCommerce reporting.

What you'll do...

Assist in Month-end, Forecast, AOP, LRP financial target setting for eCommerce, to ensure budget and forecast decisions are in alignment with company financial and strategic goals as well as buy-in from key stakeholders. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage performance and drive accountability in delivering P&L results through the cadence of month-end results reporting process and weekly financial reviews
  • Responsible for monthly forecast, alignment with business on sales, profit drivers, key metrics along with making changes to the underlying assumptions based on the current trends and load into the system 
  • Assist in Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process involving bottom-up builds, obtaining/providing related inputs from cross-functional teams, aligning with business on key assumptions, and load into the system
  • Assist in Long-Range Planning (LRP) process, collaboration with key business partners and cross-functional finance teams to create operational building blocks based on trends and planned strategic change
  • Liaison with controllership to understand accounting flow of eCommerce related postings and manage accruals to ensure financial statements are fairly presented
  • Proactively analyze key trends, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend plans and contingencies to support the business teams’ delivery against annual financial targets
  • Demonstrate fundamental understanding of full eCommerce P&L, relationships between sales and channel mix economics, and incorporating performance of eCommerce KPIs into forecast and budgets
  • Identify and lead opportunities/ad-hoc projects to drive process efficiencies, management reporting system change/enhancement, P&L performance improvement opportunities (top-line growth, productivity, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office (including Excel) skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
