What You Will Do
The Event Specialist position is key to Trimble’s success and requires a highly organized, creative, detail-oriented and motivated person to lead event planning, management, and production. The events include regional and national trade shows and conferences, as well as high visibility internal events. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization and must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines. This individual must have a passion for event management, provide outstanding communication to our Trimble staff, vendors and overall Trimble community, be an enthusiastic professional, and be capable of building strong and positive relationships. You will focus on creating opportunities for the sales team to engage with customers, new business, and partners while providing a great experience for attendees.
What You Will Do
Develop and recommend the event marketing plans, objectives, and budget and manage within those approved plans.
Collaborate with the revenue marketing team on goals and messaging
Manage events as a campaign rather than a single event - set a communication plan, design plan, key messages and strategies
Manage event logistics including tradeshow services, shipping, staffing, and serve as primary onsite contact.
Manage exhibit booth property and exhibit house
Track, analyze and report event ROI including leads, CPL (cost per lead), CPA (cost per acquisition) and brand metrics
Lead the event management of trade shows and conferences including hotel block management, event registration, event promotion, staff communications, and end-to-end execution.
Approximately 30% travel
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing complex events; both in-person and virtual
Experience working with teams that are dispersed geographically
Experience managing budgets and contracts
Expert at keeping projects on time with reliable deliverability
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, similar field or equivalent is preferred
Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Drive, Docs) and Project management (Wrike) are preferred
