Main duties and responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• Drive and maximize the development of market opportunities to achieve target and 
  maximize financial efficiency through proactive management of all lines
  within the Group Personal Insurance, Warranty and Service Programs segment
• Drives underwriting quality, including adherence to authorities, guidelines and procedures
• Leads a team of underwriters and drives the people plan initiatives
• Responsible for the Group A&H , Warranty and Services Programs financial performance

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops and executes cluster and country growth strategy for all A&H and Warranty
  products in the cluster and the alignment of both local and regional initiatives.
• Accountable for financial performance of A&H and Warranty business within the cluster.
• Integrates key regional A&H and Warranty initiatives at the cluster and country level and
  ensures effective execution across the business.
• Drive and maximize the development of market opportunities to achieve target and
  maximize financial efficiency through proactive management of all
  channels.
• Maximize business development: Sales planning, monitoring including pipeline planning
  and effective broker management and retention rates on the business lines.
• Directs the local underwriting operation in adapting initiatives and product development to
  meet local market’s needs.  
• Drives the agreed upon top / bottom line budgets and develop necessary business plans
  to achieve desired results.
• Establish risk appetite and underwriting excellence by country within regional
  underwriting guidelines.
• Support country client and broker strategies to maximize product availability across
  channels and share of wallet.
• Ensure alignment of business strategies and activities with the requirements of applicable
  local regulations and corporate guidelines.
• Works closely with Product Towers, CBE, Marketing, Communications and other PCMs
   to maximise business opportunities.
