Sr Manager - Contract Management Operations (North America & LATAM)

Description -

Services Business is a priority area for HP. Contract Management Operations Manager leads the CMO Operations for NA & LATAM which includes MPS, DaaS and Annuities. This role owns the Order to Invoice Operations for the assigned markets & is accountable for the success of the team in achieving the defined Operational performance levels.

This role manages the engagement of the Operations with the Business teams, align on priorities & continuously improve the quality of services being delivered by the team.

This role also manages the relationship between HPI and Vendor in conjunction with the Global Director Contract Management Operations. The position has a direct interface between Vendor and HP Client Management teams to align on any Contract Operations developments, issues and or escalations. This role is also responsible to manage the regional Operations teams, ensuring Vendor meets all HP KPI, SLA and Policy requirements.  Additionally, the Region Operations Manager will participate on any key initiatives or projects, such a Global ERP Transformation to ensure Operations are represented for any changes. 

Applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages activities of non-exempt/exempt individual contributors (typically Expert/Master) and/or MG1s. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization. Plans, manages and monitors high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Position typically reports to Director or above.

Additional Guidance/Criteria:

  • Directs and controls activities within a sub-region or Region.
  • Typically manages 10 or more direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages a group of individual contributors, supervisors, and Manager across multiple job families
  • Controls a contained budget, with responsibilities for items such as salary increases, bonus payments within certain guidelines, and travel.
  • Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes

Education and Experience Required:

  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in a business related function especially in managing Operations teams.
  • Typically 2+ years of people management experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, includes verbal, written and presentation forms; strong influence skills.
  • Solid finance skills and ability to budget.
  • Ability to set, measure, and manage team performance.
  • Exceptional financial and business acumen; in-depth business and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, including goal-setting, conflict resolution, performance management, budget planning, problem solving, valuation and employee engagement.

The base pay range for this role is $118,050 to $181,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
