Marketing Director Vaccines Shingles

The Marketing Director Shingles will spearhead the marketing strategy and execution to drive the growth of the Shingles . business. This position calls for a dynamic leader who can blend strategic vision with operational excellence to implement impactful marketing initiatives. The role demands a strong strategic mindset combined with a proven track record in leading and managing teams to achieve operational excellence and impactful results. Additionally, this position involves leading a cross-functional team, collaborating with partnering functions to ensure focus and alignment on key priorities.

As a Marketing Director, you will lead the marketing team, ensuring alignment with GSK’s overarching strategic goals and delivering measurable outcomes. This role is an integral part of the Vaccines Leadership Team, contributing significantly to the development and implementation of the UK Vaccines Commercial Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for Shingles., collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive the execution of marketing plans, manage the marketing budget, and implement performance metrics to measure effectiveness.
  • Performance Tracking: Implement and oversee KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Data and Insight: Monitor and understand NIP programme performance, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Encourage innovation within the team, promoting continuous improvement and adoption of best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the Shingles marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting a collaborative work environment. Lead the development and delivery of a people plan to ensure the team has the right capabilities for today and the future.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including key individuals at UKHSA and DHSC
  • Collaboration: Ensure collaboration with . Global and cross-functional partners (e.g. Medical, Communication and Government Affairs, Supply Chain, Customer Insights, regulatory) to execute strategy.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure all marketing activities comply with GSK’s policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and execute plans to mitigate them

  • Proven ability to influence change at the enterprise level.

  • UK-specific experience preferable.
  • Previous vaccines expertise is preferable.
