Role Description:

What You Can Do

As a BI Platform Administrator with expertise in TIBCO Spotfire, you manage, optimize, and support enterprise BI environments to ensure reliable data access, reporting, and analytics for business users.

You play a key role in maintaining platform stability, implementing governance standards, automating processes, and supporting the integration of multiple data sources across the organization. Your efforts enable data-driven insights, operational excellence, and scalability for analytics solutions.

What We Expect of You

• Administer and maintain TIBCO Spotfire Server, Web Player, and Automation Services environments.
• Oversee user/group access, library management, and license provisioning aligned with governance standards.
• Implement upgrades, patches, and configurations to maintain system reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows for monitoring, backup, and deployment.
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to support integration with data sources (SQL, Snowflake, etc.).
• Troubleshoot performance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure proactive monitoring of the BI ecosystem.
• Support dashboard developers and business users in resolving connectivity and performance challenges.
• Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, operational standards, and change management.
• Participate in planning and implementing platform scalability and security improvements.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in BI platform administration or enterprise analytics environments.
• Strong proficiency in TIBCO Spotfire administration, including configuration, library, and automation service management.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake).
• Good understanding of networking concepts, authentication mechanisms (LDAP/AD), and server management (Windows/Linux).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing multi-node Spotfire environments with high availability.
• Familiarity with cloud BI deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to other BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Knowledge of data integration and ETL tools (Informatica, Alteryx, or Tibco DV).
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and system monitoring.
• Understanding of data governance, version control (Git), and ITIL change processes.
