About the Department
Your role will operate within the Global Marketing team and be fully aligned with the Investments Vector of abrdn. The Investments Vector provides a broad range of investment products and solutions to suit clients’ needs, now and in the future. We market our investment products through two core client channels:
Wholesale: Financial Advisers, Wealth Managers, Discretionary Fund Managers, and Global Banks.
Institutional: Pension Funds, Family Offices, Charities and Endowments, Insurance, and Sovereign Wealth Funds.
About the Role
The Marketing Manager EMEA will support the delivery of a wide-ranging set of marketing initiatives and plans focused on delivering the commercial and brand outcomes that abrdn seeks to achieve.
The successful candidate will be expected to drive efficiency and excellence in delivery, ensuring all outputs are delivered to scope, time, and budget. Building effective relationships across their growth vector, including marketing, sales, product, and investment teams will be crucial. The ability to engage and influence these stakeholders through clear and articulate communication is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Campaigns & Coordination:
Support the delivery of take-to-market plans by proposition and client segment to scope, budget, and business/marketing objectives.
Create regular emails and communication, and coordinate the send-out across EMEA.
Organize webinars across EMEA, working on content, format, compliance approval, and execution.
Content & Social Media Management:
Supervise content for social promotion, both paid and organic, throughout EMEA or selected countries.
Coordinate multi-language EMEA campaigns and ongoing promotions, working with individual countries and the digital team.
Event Management:
Support the coordination of Pan-European events.
Supervise and support local events and webinars, including creating and sending invitations, coordinating with locations, and executing events.
Provide support for events across the EMEA team, including coordinating speakers, managing fund information with third-party suppliers, and providing physical support on the day of events.
Budget & Supplier Management:
Supervise the central budget and manage orders with suppliers and invoicing.
Request and supervise the translations workflow for the entire team.
Project Management:
Deliver small to medium-sized marketing initiatives and projects, adopting standards and processes, and embedding best practices within campaigns and activities.
Clearly detail project steps required to deliver initiatives within the overarching Marketing plan, track progress, and report on progress and issues requiring management action.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A marketing professional with early-stage experience working as part of an EMEA marketing team.
Multi-lingual skills are desirable, with fluent English essential for the role, and another European language spoken fluently.
Digital, marketing automation, and social media knowledge.
Project management, organisational and scheduling skills.
Experience in the delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns, both online and offline.
Experience working alongside Distribution and developing collaborative take-to-market and conversion plans.
