Job Description:

Job Summary
This position manages the daily Gateway Air, Ramp, and Hub operations. He/She ensures efficiency in planning, daily operations, auditing, administrative, and on time air operations. This position supports workplace safety and ensures acceptable service levels. He/She maintains a well-trained workforce and adequate staffing levels to support operational demands. This position manages others in the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops a master operating plan (MOP) for Air operations and small feeder aircraft to foster efficient uses of facility and equipment.
  • Trains employees and managers on proper safety procedures (e.g., body mechanics, equipment usage, injury prevention, hazardous material collection, etc.) to certify performance.
  • Manages resources and people processes (e.g., Quality Performance Review [QPR], Career Development, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day to day administration of processes and formal procedures.
  • Conducts quarterly review audits to ensure proper service levels are met.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports (e.g., Package report, Service Exception Analysis System [SEAS] morning report, etc.) to identify trends impacting the Gateway.
  • Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
  • Collaborates with and identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
  • Experience supervising others
  • Experience working in an Airway Gateway operation
