The primary function of the National Sales Manager Acute in Advanced Wound Care is to lead a team of sales professionals that will drive Convatec growth and profitability within the acute setting. Establishing a high performing team with a growth mind set and develop their talent for the future.


 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Sales & Commercial responsibility for acute portfolio sales within the Convatec AWC franchise 
  • Inspiring and motivating regional team to adopt a winning mindset and outperform the competition via higher levels of performance 
  • Drive execution excellence by fully embedding the Convatec Way of Selling sales process 
  • Thorough annual and quarterly regional business planning 
  • Driving strong utilization of CRM whilst exceeding call rate expectations 
  • Support upskilling of team via active coaching, min. 3 days per week 
  • Develop and maintain effective cross-functional relationships and be an active contributor to the broader BU strategy 
  • Manage annual regional budget 
  • Capitalise on current Government and NHS priorities 
  • Strong management of the acute portfolio profitability, driving price optimisation 
  • Shape the external environment through engagements with key stakeholders and purchasing bodies, lead and shape tender processes to optimal success for acute portfolios 

ABOUT YOU:  

  • A mix of delivering against both the long and short term business goals 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to network both internally & externally 
  • Excellent negotiation skills 
  • An understanding of the structure, strategies and key priorities of the NHS and up-to-date NHS terminology 
  • Experience of driving product access within the NHS (community or hospital) to drive demonstrable business growth 
  • Experience of working with a wide range of specialist and culturally diverse people, influencing them to get things done. 
  • Delivery of value-added business results even within tight deadlines. 
  • Commercial acumen and financial accountability through managing budgets and resource planning
  • Excellent people management and talent development skills 
  • Excellent communicator able to inspire a team to succeed 
  • Demonstrating understanding of price and profitability in all negotiations to support Convatec UKI P&L 
  • High standards approach delivering 100% sales performance on a consistent basis with a proven track record 
  • Your ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret data from a variety of sources and through effective decision-making, planning and implementation delivering superior business results 
  • Your appetite to lead projects and to set your own objectives
  • Good working IT knowledge (Microsoft software inc. Excel, PPT & Word ) & CRM experience.
