Our litigators work on cases in areas full range of our contentious work – arbitration, cross-border litigation, investigations and contentious insolvency. We also regularly convene teams of lawyers across the world to address specific client problems that may affect business transactions on a global scale. As well as our highly regarded domestic litigation practice, we have a leading arbitration/ADR practice, and generally act for multinational energy clients in Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand on cases which involve oil, gas or power projects across the region. As the counsel of choice for the region's leading financial institutions, we also advise and act for clients involved in regulatory investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review documentation, demonstrate familiarity with precedents and market standards
  • Provide sound commercial and legal advice to the client
  • Demonstrate thorough market knowledge to identify current trends and concerns in relevant industry sectors. Able to present ideas to the client to resolve current market issues and anticipate potential problems
  • Network with clients to capitalize on new business opportunities
  • To succeed in this Associate role, you should be able to contribute to quality know-how, communicate assertively when under pressure and be a proactive team player

Key Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 PQE (as per the UK scale)
  • Singapore qualified
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Fluent in English with Mandarin being an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have a broad range of experience and keen interest in all aspects of arbitration, cross-border litigation, investigation and insolvency
