Production Planner – Technical Glass Products – Snoqualmie, WA

Reporting to the Production Planning and Scheduling Supervisor, the Production Planner will perform the full range of support duties in accordance with established policies and procedures of Technical Glass Products.  This will include project set up, supporting the production supervisors, scheduling, managing resource constraints, maintaining the production schedule, and producing reports which may include the schedule, capacity utilization, and lead-time in support of production scheduler.  This position will work closely with other internal departments to ensure that Technical Glass Products finished products meet our customers’ expectations of superior quality and on-time delivery.

What You Will Do:

• Support production team by creating schedules and helping move production orders through in a timely manner.
• Support production supervisors and team members in project set up, data reporting, and project coordination.
• Create the production schedule, capacity planning and lead-time report, and communicate project priorities to the production team.  Perform “what if” schedule scenarios as required as a back up to scheduler.
• Update and maintain the production schedule and capacity planning tool including new work, work in process, and completed work as a backup to scheduler.
• Identify those projects which have the potential for going into a late status.  Identify material, manpower, and equipment constraints.  Proactively support production with any necessary recovery plan efforts ensuring the project stays on track.
• Support D365 Testing and implementation as required. Provide training to production staff regarding ERP responsibilities for supervisors and staff for clocking in and out of jobs, and provide support regarding the use and functions of the new system.
• Prioritize work-cell and job task operations to achieve schedule.
• Review and prepare fabrication documents for production.
• Organizes work to meet on-time requirements.
• Suggest and drive process improvement initiatives.
• Verifies all collateral materials.
• Performs multiple operations simultaneously often required.
• Provides exceptional customer service to internal team members.
• Maintains and improve 5S elements around planning area.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in production/manufacturing environment preferred
• 2+ years of production planning/support experience preferred
• Lean manufacturing experienced preferred
• Provide high quality internal customer service.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow cut list dimensions and the ability to read blueprints or other small print material.
• Able to complete assigned tasks in a limited time frame.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong math skills.
• Remains alert in a high risk environment.
• Assesses priorities to determine what is urgently needed.
• Maintains schedule and tasks in spite of interruptions.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law

Employment Type: full-time, salary exempt

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 6 am – 2:30 pm, 40 hours per week required
