Primary Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date on emerging cyber threats, including zero-day vulnerabilities
  • Track vulnerability remediation activities to ensure completion according to guidelines
  • Build strong partnerships with technical teams to promote best practices for managing vulnerabilities in an agile manner
  • Mentor and guide team members with vulnerability assessments and mitigation techniques
  • Lead small to large complex projects from start to finish

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Systems/Technology, or Equivalent
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in vulnerability management strategies, standards, procedures, and technologies across infrastructure and application-level vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and reporting tools (Network, Application, Container, Mobile) including analyzing results to effectively prioritize remediation efforts.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills when meeting with customers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage individual workloads with minimal assistance. Collaborate effectively with leadership and team members to adjust priorities based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Forensics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering preferred
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of application development cycles (SDLC), network engineering and architecture, operating systems which includes system administration of both Windows and Linux environments, and cloud environments.
  • 5+ years of vulnerability management engineering experience with vulnerability scanners and experience remediating issues with system owners
  • 5+ years of operational IT Security experience required
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment with diverse teams
  • Advanced Knowledge of operating systems, systems software, and application installation and administration
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies
  • Ability to identify systemic security issues based on the analysis of vulnerability, configuration, and compliance data
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of organizational responsibility including Product Managers, Security Engineers, and Senior Leadership
  • Ability to manipulate data using Excel, SQL Queries, and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ansible/YAML, and PowerShell
  • Experience with the vulnerability management lifecycle
  • Experience performing root cause analysis of security events and incidents
  • Ability to organize, manage, and maintain large-scale projects
  • Using Splunk’s SPL (Search Processing Language) to create Reports, Alerts & Custom, and Advanced Dashboards
  • Drive the vulnerability assessment and prioritization team as a leader and subject matter expert.
  • Ability to understand, design, and develop vulnerability mitigation strategies, prioritize identified vulnerabilities, and manage risk associated with vulnerabilities.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
