Job Description Summary

In this Role you'll Lead day-to-day operations for the Mega New Units Projects Division; As our Senior Project Operations Leader; You'll drive on-time, on-budget, and on-quality and delivery to metrics.

Job Description

Operational Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes across project lifecycle phases (engineering, supply chain, logistics, finance, field services).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, HSE, Quality) to streamline handoffs and ensure seamless project execution.

Project & Program Management

  • Oversee the processes across a portfolio of complex gas turbine projects, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and business objectives.
  • Manage and assess progress on operational milestones, KPIs, and metrics to monitor progress and proactively address risks or bottlenecks.
  • Drive program governance and reporting, escalating critical issues to senior leadership when required.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Design project managers development programs via training curriculums all year round.
  • Mentor new project managers, planners, and support staff.
  • Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop future operations leaders through coaching, training, and succession planning.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the operational point of contact for customers, ensuring strong relationships, transparent communication, and alignment of expectations.
  • Collaborate with GE Vernova’s leadership, regional offices, and external partners/vendors to ensure project success.
  • Represent the division in executive-level reviews, customer negotiations, and strategic planning forums.
  • System interface management and cross functional integration via connecting the dots across the board.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Own operational and financial KPIs, forecasts, and productivity management initiatives.
  • Drive productivity improvements, cost reduction programs, and working capital optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with GE Vernova’s financial, commercial, and operational policies.

Risk, Compliance & Safety

  • Implement and enforce GE Vernova’s EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards across all operations.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project and operational risks.
  • Ensure full compliance with international trade, export control, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field and equivalence
  • 10+ years of experience in operations management, program management, or large-scale industrial project execution (energy, power generation, or heavy equipment sectors strongly preferred).

Desired Experience & Core Competencies

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Preferred.
  • Proven track record in delivering multi-million-dollar, global projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of gas turbine technology, EPC project execution, and field services operations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing cross-cultural, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Financial acumen and P&L knowledge, budgets, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Strategic Execution: Ability to align day-to-day operations with long-term business objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Deep understanding of project lifecycle management, process optimization, and risk control.
  • Servant Leadership: Inspires, motivates, and bonds diverse teams.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Builds trust, manages expectations, and ensures customer satisfaction via world class process designs

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $154,800.00 and $258,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
