Team Summary:

The Client Account Services (CAS) group is responsible for providing ongoing servicing for Institutional clients invested in separate accounts, sub advised, and proprietary T. Rowe Price (TRP) products. The group is accountable for leading and influencing the execution of cross functional client requests. This requires liaising between all internal and external stakeholders to ensure all documentation and operational requirements are fulfilled. The group is regionally focused but from time to time is required to support other regions, according to demand and regional team capacity. Role Summary:

  • The CAS Specialist is responsible for servicing our institutional clients holding separate accounts, sub-advised and proprietary TRP products.  The Specialist is accountable for owning operational service requests throughout the entire lifecycle of the client.  Strong partnership is expected with the Distribution Relationship Managers, ensuring we are showing up as one T. Rowe to the client.  Service requests include but are not limited to Investment Management Agreement updates, fee payment modifications, reporting requests, coordination of restricted lists, reconciliation inquiries, establishing new market openings, cash movement execution/monitoring and participation of new counterparty agreements.  
  • The Specialist will interact with clients predominantly via email and will be responsible for working with other business partners as needed to provide timely responses.  Many client requests have critical, time-sensitive deadlines that must be very closely managed.  Some requests will have operational execution requirements that the Specialist must either complete themselves or ensure are completed by required deadlines.  Strong partnership to manage service requests is needed with Investments, Legal, ITS, Investment Compliance, Finance, Global Investment Operations and Global Client Investment Reporting.  
  • The Specialist exercises proven judgment and discretion in analyzing, evaluating, and executing on servicing complex institutional clients with some direction from more senior members of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports a variety of straightforward client relationships, including onboarding, monitoring requests, and resolving issues as they arise. Escalates complex issues and requests to more senior staff as needed.
  • Gathers data to inform operating or servicing agreements. Performs analyses on operational issues raised by clients and their service providers. Identifies a variety of nonstandard operational needs and escalates accordingly.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Works with clients to resolve a wide variety of basic issues. Supports the communication of information to internal parties following established processes.
  • Participates in initiatives and projects to enhance the quality and efficiency of the client operations department processes. Recommends process improvements.

Typical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience

  • Strong knowledge of the asset management business and investment products
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing projects, priorities, and sensitive issues
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment with a strong sense of urgency
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently

FINRA Requirements: 

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility:

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.

Base salary ranges:

$75,500.00 - $129,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$66,500.00 - $114,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$60,500.00 - $104,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and All other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
