About you and this role

We are hiring a Product Stewardship Manager.
You will act as the primary Global Product Stewardship Manager for the Acrylic Adhesives envelope that forms part of the broader Coatings & Performance Monomers business. Your job will require you to oversee the overall product compliance to global chemical regulations and ensure adherence to Dow’s EH&S Product Safety protocols and Responsible Care objectives. You will be expected to be involved in advocacy, industry associations, business guidance, and regulatory opportunity identification, particularly in relation to the areas Global Chemical and Food Contact regulations and Strategic Chemical of Concern & Safer materials strategy. You will act as an interface between internal stakeholders within the business value chain partners to ensure a positive experience to our customers and you will be required to collaborate closely with functional partners (such as, Hazard Communications, Toxicology and Risk Assessment, Marketing and Commercial, Quality, Supply chain and Customer Service) to meet process and functional objectives. You will use conceptual knowledge and experience to complete a range of assignments and tasks, in an independent manor.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the regulatory compliance of the assigned product portfolio globally and coordinates Product Process Design and Improvement projects that require Product Stewardship expertise.
  • Identifies and interprets public priority issues impacting products and leads the implementation of an effective issue management strategy that includes engaging Government Affairs/Public Policy leaders as needed for guidance and direction.
  • Interfaces with industry associations in opportunities for advocacy and influences business/corporate sustainability goals.
  • Designs and delivers regulatory communication and training for key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. customers, regional leadership team), has the ability to lead complex projects cross-functionally and coordinates Business Risk Reviews (BRRs).
  • Acts as technical coach for less experienced team members

Qualifications

  • MSc in Natural Sciences / Chemistry/Chemical engineering or related field
  • Relevant experience – minimum 5-7 years

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge in Global chemical regulations, emerging schemes and requirements.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in English language
