Job Summary

The Intern will support the Operations team by assisting with a variety of administrative, analytical, and project-based tasks. This role will contribute to special projects such as commission auditing, data integrity reviews, and the development of new policies. The Intern will also participate in internal and external meetings with operations staff, sales teams, brokers, and carriers as needed. Additional responsibilities include helping create marketing kits and materials, as well as providing general administrative support, including mail handling and meeting preparation. This position offers hands-on experience across multiple operational functions within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with special projects, such as commission auditing, data integrity checks, creation of new policies
• Attend internal and external meetings with operations and sales team, brokers, and carriers as needed
• Assist with creation of marketing kits and materials
• Assist with administrative duties such as mail and meeting preparation

At completion of the internship, you will understand the following:

• Definition of a General Agency (GA).
• The sales functions of a General Agency (GA).
• The Martin Insurance Group (MIG) value proposition.
• The Broker recruitment process.
• How to effectively partner with Operations as a member of the Sales team.
• Overview of the full product suite, including both open-market and proprietary offerings

Education & Experience

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Customer service or sales experience (preferred but not required).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new systems.
• Team-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn
