HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE 

With a deep understanding of prAna's brand, the Merchandise Coordinator participates in merchandising strategies and creation of seasonal assortment plans to build profitable assortments that will meet internal margin goals, assist in monitoring weekly sales, analyzing style performance and market trends to better understand channel specific needs and opportunities.  You will learn to understand prAna target customers by shopping retail stores and providing competitive analysis to enhance brand strategies and opportunities and finally, assist in the development of inventory and markdown strategies that fuel company sales objectives

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Partner with Men’s Merchandising team on seasonal style line plan creation and maintenance including but not limited to style name/number creation, color codes, and product variable data coding for PLM system

  • Facilitate communication with internal teams on additions and cancellations to the line plan and ensure the line sheets remain accurate and updated

  • Assistant to Men’s Senior Merchandising Manager in maintaining the product creation calendar and development process to ensure timely completion

  • Participate in development Milestone Meeting preparation, including sketch reviews, line assortment reviews, proto reviews, pricing and margin reviews, and internal sales presentations 

  • Accountable for all aspects of sample management, working closely with product development to manage incoming photo samples, organizing, maintain, and prepare samples for merchant presentations and requests from business partners

  • Assist in the seasonal e-commerce asset creation, collaborate with the creative team on product descriptions, assist in creating shot list for seasonal photo assets and work closely with in-house creative team to ensure completion

  • Work with Men’s Merchandising team on styling of both mens collections, and assist on photoshoots 

  • Review photo assets and ensure they meet prAna standards

  • Interface with all functional areas of the business including design, e-commerce, production, marketing and consumer research to maintain successful workflow 

YOU ARE

  • Product focused with a keen eye for fashion and style

  • Passionate about bringing products to market through storytelling and consumer insights

  • Excited about prAna’s brand and their target consumer

  • Thorough and detail oriented

YOU HAVE 

  • 1-3 years in sample and merchandise coordination or Product Line Management preferred

  • Retail buying, sales and/or merchandising experience a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in design/merchandising, business, or marketing.

  • Apparel merchandising/buying background required; contemporary womenswear and menswear experience a plus, planning experience a plus

  • An understanding of the prAna brand and mission and how they translate to the collections at the wholesale and direct-to-consumer level

  • Demonstrated ability to set initiatives and deliver results while maintaining a positive attitude

  • Self-motivated and organized with a strong work ethic and ability to excel in a team environment

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop) a plus

  • Experience using a PLM system, build and maintain seasonal VLPs by channel and help to create and validate all style names.

  • Experience managing all channel samples through each development stage and maintain most up to date product in the channel room and support in managing the channel product room and set up for key milestones

  • Presentation preparation experience to create product decks ahead of account meetings, pre-lines, sales meetings, and other key checkpoints

  • Product costing experience by calculating targets and tracking costing changes at development milestones to ensure all products are achieving targets

Salary Range: $60,600 - $93,900

*Pay decisions are determined by multiple factors, including what the market is paying, a candidate’s capabilities and skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
