What You Will Do:
Plan, direct, and monitor all inventory control activities so that the organization has access to the inputs, materials, goods, and services it needs for its current and future operations.
Manage the material flow across operational sites to support internal requisitions, inter-org transfers, receipts, cycle counts, physical inventory, and investigating/correcting related issues.
Liaise with coworkers so the supply of materials meets their current and future needs.
Coordinate and participate in periodic physical inventory events.
Oversee the process for cycle counts and the annual physical inventory.
Oversee the process for inventory adjustments, to include scrap, variances, lost in transit, etc.
Collaborate with business leadership on any inventory optimization initiatives
Supervise, train, and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in the movement or storage of products by use of equipment, such as forklifts.
Schedules the activities of the Inventory Control department material handling by reviewing requests and shipping/receiving tickets.
Communicate with freight companies for inbound and outbound freight shipments
Review and approve weekly timesheets
Coordinate and promote continuous improvement within the department
Interact with incoming and outgoing freight logistics suppliers to monitor adherence to business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
This safety-sensitive role may be subject to employer and/or customer drug testing
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
5 years relevant experience
Working knowledge of inventory management processes and controls including kanban pull systems
Working knowledge of ERP Systems
Knowledge of inventory management in the Oracle ERP or similar
Previous forklift operation experience (preferred)
Effective oral and written communication skills
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Oracle and Quickbase
Organization and time management skills
Ability to influence a cross-functional team
Analytical skills in an operational discipline
Ability to execute strategies and initiatives
Leadership by example and servant leadership traits
High attention to the safety of personnel and the integrity of company assets
Continuous Improvement mindset
Interact politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers
Read, write, and speak English fluently

Physical Requirements:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

May stand, walk, stoop, kneel, sit, bend, twist, reach, grasp, push, pull, lift and climb.
Requires visual and hearing acuity to perform activities such as performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature and operating motor vehicles
Working Conditions:
Indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. Activities occur indoors and outdoors.
Hazards include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals
Atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system or skin may include fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
Potential skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids
Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as required
