Role: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Role Overview

We are seeking Software Engineers to work as SDE- Automation in our development team. You will be working with a group of motivated QAs and SDET who are responsible for automation of exchange market gateway.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain comprehensive test plans for complex systems, ensuring high-quality product releases
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks - including integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with the Development, CS and Product team, Improve quality metrics on Root Cause Analysis of the escaped defects
• Build and extend automated test suites covering functional, integration, API and end-to-end testing scenarios 
• Create and maintain technical documentation for automation framework, test strategies and test development processes 
• Participate in architectural discussions and provide an input on testability and quality improvements 
• Mentor team members on automation techniques, coding standards and testing methodologies 

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance with at least 2 years in automation development with Bachelors in STEM field
• Worked on Test Automation framework, Pytest preferred
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins)
• Hands-on experience with Docker
• Proficiency with version control systems (git/gerrit)
• Hands on experience on Unix like platform and Bash.
• Excellent communication skills

Beneficial:

• NCFM certifications in Derivatives, Capital markets etc.
• ISTQB QA certifications
• Good to have - knowledge on Order Trade Life Cycle
• Experience in software testing life cycle including analyzing specifications and developing effective strategies and executing the test plans
• Working knowledge of FIX protocol
• Familiarity with asset types like Equities, Derivatives, FX, Bonds, Commodities etc.
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
