About the Hiring Team

Tencent Games’ Venture Lab supports Tencent’s third-party (minority stake) studios, working on a diverse range of titles across various genres. Our mission is to elevate these studios' potential from early development to independence by providing comprehensive advisory services across production, publishing, technology, and more.

What the Role Entails

● Work with our portfolio companies (minorities and majorities) on their production related issues and challenges, including frequent travel

● Drive quality in a collaborative and constructive way, partner with essential team members to create an organizational structure and processes that allow the team to efficiently produce high quality work on time and on budget.

● Involvement in strategic product planning, franchise and lifecycle management.

● Ensure effective processes are in place for project tracking, including milestone reviews and feedback.

● Prepare and regularly communicate project status information to management· Work on Gaas and innovation promotions.

Who We Look For

● An inquisitive mind and understanding of the latest technology in game development.

● Involvement in strategic product planning, franchise and lifecycle management.

● Ensure effective processes are in place for project tracking, including milestone reviews and feedback· Prepare and regularly communicate project status information to management· Work on Gaas and innovation promotions.

● 10+ years experience as a Technical Director or Director of Engineering

● Leadership experience in setting strategic direction. Outstanding organizational skills and ability.

● Experience managing a production team ideally externally—experience with medium-large teams or development studios within the video game industry within one location and globally.

● An understanding of a wide range of project management concepts, tools, and approaches and an ability to tailor methods to meet the requirements of the team.

● Experience delivering multiple high-quality entertainment experiences, understanding the motivations of your player base, and can assess innovation to deliver upon expectations.
