This position is for a DSP Software Engineering Co-Op opportunity at Motorola Solutions in Plantation, Florida. We are looking for engineers with a strong interest in DSP and Embedded Systems to help expand our team and deliver the next generation of communication devices to our customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work in an Agile/Scrum team to analyze, design, implement cutting edge real-time software for DSP algorithms and Low Level device drivers to be used in wireless products.
Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment.
Finding, tracking, and repairing device software defects.
Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of fundamentals of Digital Signal Processing and/or Digital Communication
Experience in C/C++ is a plus
Knowledge of Machine Learning is a plus
Experience with, Matlab, Python, Perl is a plus
Experience in real-time embedded software is a plus
Strong communication and problem solving skills is a plus
Experience using version control; Git is a plus
Experience with Linux is a plus
Experience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.) is a plus
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering.
Must graduate on or after May 2025.
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
