Job Summary
As a Construction Manager in our Florida Gulf Coast Division, you will manage the construction and warranty service operations in such a way that quality homes are built and serviced in a profitable manner and customers are satisfied. The Construction Manager will oversee and guide our field managers and strategic initiatives as it relates to construction. The most rewarding part of this role is being able to mentor your team into providing the best home and customer service for our homebuyers.

These skills will be used to:
- Manage the division's construction and warranty service operations, Fischer Homes' Field Managers, outside trade partners, and other Fischer Homes' departments so that quality homes are built, delivered and serviced within the standards for quality, timeliness and cost and so that the division achieves customer satisfaction.
- Review all construction related costs and job-starts by completing site surveys with Field Managers.
- Ensure that warranty service is completed in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, coach, and mentor top talent in order to achieve the division's and company's goals and objectives.
- Maintain and monitor a Fischer Homes Safety Awareness program that promotes OSHA compliance by trade partners and an injury-free work environment.
- Deliver training programs that will be both challenging and rewarding to Associates, for growth and advancement within the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant field.
- 5+ years experience in residential construction
Physical demands and work environment:
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and walk on various types of terrain, including uneven surfaces, construction sites, and residential properties that may have mud, ruts, etc.
- Must be able to utilize sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) and technology (i.e. cellphone) to effectively communicate with other Associates and customers.
- Must be able to perform movements such as bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, grasping, etc.
- Must have the ability to climb permanent stairs, temporary stairs, and ladders.
- Must have the physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting approximately 50 lbs. unassisted throughout the workday.
- Must be able to endure and be exposed to different types of conditions, including weather (heat, cold, rain, ice, etc.) and substances such as dust, dirt, and fumes.
- Must be able to properly use and wear protective gear provided including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toed shoes, etc.
- Must be able to travel to job sites regularly throughout the day.
