Job Description Summary

Develop, implement, & drive continuous improvement of Product Lifecycle Management processes and tools for GE Vernova Wind Enterprise Systems (PLM, ERP, & ALM). Leverage contemporary and emerging disruptive digital technologies to improve productivity and cost while encouraging innovative solutions. Deliver, maintain, and continuously improve advanced digital solutions that enable execution of the Design Anywhere, Build Anywhere, and Service Everywhere product lifecycle management strategy. The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring Onshore, Offshore, and Hydro continue to work towards and maintain a common platform solution related to PLM, PDM, CAD, and other Digital Thread requirements.
Strong relationships with Offshore and Hydro Teams, is essential to ensure a standardized platform approach. The candidate must also be able develop, maintain, and articulate a vision of how digital threading is accomplished across the Business Enterprise from product concept to decommissioning.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support the GE Vernova Digital Industrial Strategy and understand how it relates to Wind PLM Strategy
  • Collaborate with Onshore, Offshore, and Hydro to align lifecycle management tools to developing or existing processes.
  • Develop and deploy short-, mid- and long-term PLM, CAD, and other digital thread tool enhancements, including critical platform decisions.
  • Prioritize tool development within budget parameters, laying out critical needs for major platform investment and resultant productivity.
  • Develop and maintain a product definition and lifecycle management tool strategy and vision, available for executive review at any time.
  • Develop and maintain a strong partnership with the Digital Technology Community
  • Remain connected, aligned and influence Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategies within the Services community.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure ERP interactions remain efficient and effective.
  • Understand Product structuring and platforming requirements down to function level, ensuring basic Wind Turbine structures are managed and maintained consistently across products and within tool capabilities.
  • Utilize above product structure knowledge to design and deploy rapid product cost analytics for finance and product lines for both planned and as built tollgates.
  • Support continuous improvement and automation of technical publications.
  • Ensure capability in place for part optimization, reuse, and modularity requirements, by proper management of part libraries
  • Deploy Requirements Management solution when the businesses have completed the prerequisite data model and mapping activities to align with the product structure in CORELLA.
  • Develop and maintain training materials for CORELLA, MBA, VPC, and other tools owned by the Enterprise Applications Systems Engineering (EASE) Team
  • Work Closely with PDE leads to drive accurate product model management strategies and accountability for their maintenance, in support of long-term digital threading goals.
  • Leverage/balance low-cost contract resources versus GE heads to complete critical business deliverables and manage/optimize base cost.
  • Develop and maintain Interface management practices within models and deliver simplified solutions for Design Memo management and Requirements interactions.
  • Identify. develop, track, and implement productivity improvements collaborating closely with cross functional teams across the enterprise.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Sciences discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional experience in a technical engineering design and team leadership  
  • Demonstrated Product Life Cycle Management Experience to include CAD systems, PLM systems with ERP knowledge.

Desired Characteristics

  • Lean six sigma certification and experience with leading/driving continuous improvement
  • Institute of Process Excellence (IPX) Configuration Management (CM2) Certification
  • Management experience with a proven ability to self-direct team and execute/articulate business priorities.
  • Prior working knowledge of Wind Turbine systems and components
  • Change Management knowledge across Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing disciplines
  • Experience with Product Master Model management philosophy and evolution
  • Deep understanding of Model Based Assembly practices and factory planning methodology.
  • Understanding of PLM to Salesforce integration development needs
  • Ability to drive metrics around part creation, reuse, and development of productivity tools to assist in longer term Business goals.
  • Experience working with Finance to develop, manage and maintain, accurate and agile product cost profiles (planned and as built) by region.
  • Proven ability to provide appropriate personnel performance feedback and growth development plans.
  • Proven ability to work Regionally and Globally across levels of the Organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
