Position Summary: The Payment Specialist will be responsible for reviewing each account to determine the best way to approach the client, and then executing their plan to bring in the maximum amount of revenue. The ideal candidate for this position can work as part of a dynamic team and be able to work in an environment where work assignments change frequently.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Proficient at monitoring accounts to identify and assist customers with payments
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently analyze payment history and account information
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and seek to resolve in a collaborative environment
  • Make calls in a professional manner while maintaining and improving customer relations
  • Maintain accurate records on customer interactions relating to collection activity

  

 What You’ll need:

  • Collection experience is preferred, and knowledge of the Fair Debt Collections Act is beneficial
  • Be passionate about delivering an upbeat customer experience
  • Change is positive progression, be open and supportive of new processes
  • Ability to work within a team and independent environment to meet department and individual goals
  • Excellent written communications coupled with a typing speed greater than 45-words per minute
  • Be savvy with computer-based programs, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to work flexible schedules at times (evenings, weekends)
  • Automated Dialer experience a plus
