What you will do

As a Field Line Manager, you will play a crucial role in coaching and developing our talented team of engineers. Your exceptional communication and customer service skills, alongside your people management expertise, will empower you to lead a dynamic team of Installation engineers in a fast-paced environment.

How you will do it

  • Organise daily operations, tackle challenges, engage with customers, and collaborate with your team.

  • Implement effective work procedures, provide timely briefings to staff, and ensure best practices are followed.

  • Collaborate with the planning team to schedule manpower and equipment for jobs, ensuring completion within budget and timelines.

  • Manage engineers’ documentation for accuracy and efficiency, certifying timesheets correctly.

  • Conduct regular safety and quality audits to ensure the proper use of equipment by engineers and subcontractors.

  • Oversee Health & Safety compliance for your team and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with legislation and Tyco’s Zero Harm policy.

  • Identify and assess training needs while encouraging team development through annual appraisals and hands-on management.

  • Proactively manage project forecasts and budgets, while building strong customer relationships to minimize disputes.

What we look for

Essential:

  • Driving license

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing environment

  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills

  • Be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills

  • Proactive approach to unexpected situations, with an ability to inspire and influence others

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Fire & Security industry

  • Strong people management skills and a proven track record in developing teams

  • P&L experience
