What is the role

We are seeking an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) with a robust background in:

• Insurance Innovation: Proven experience in developing and launching insurance products, particularly in the Insurtech sectors.
• Technology Integration: Expertise in leveraging AI, big data, and IoT to create personalized, usage-based insurance solutions.
• Market Strategy: Strong understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior, especially within the gig economy and younger demographics.

The insurance market is rapidly evolving, driven by consumer demand for flexibility, personalization, and convenience. As traditional insurance models struggle to meet these needs, there is a significant opportunity to innovate with new underwriting and data models.  

Responsibilities 

In this role, you will:

• Lead the development of innovative insurance products that address the industry pain points and market gaps.
• Design and implement a model that allows users to share risks and costs, enhancing affordability for underserved populations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a user-friendly platform for real-time activation of insurance coverage.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape, informing product development and go-to-market strategies.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collective ownership in the venture-building process.
• Engage with regulatory bodies to navigate compliance challenges and advocate for frameworks that support innovative insurance models.
