Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Electrification in Japan.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.
  • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.
  • Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; and ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • Order Management: Manage the end-to-end sales order process, including SAP entry, PO creation, logistics, and delivery/inventory control for various project scales.
  • Financial & Audit Support: Handle necessary financial documentation (invoicing, revenue recognition) and support internal audit and process control requirements.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Resolve customer inquiries and complaints regarding orders and payments, coordinating with internal teams for necessary adjustments.
  • Required Experience: Must have proven experience using SAP and previous roles in Sales Operations or Order Management.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent Japanese is required; conversational English (reading/writing/speaking) is necessary for communication with international colleagues/controllers.
