Then we hope you are our new Laboratory Support Technician in Process Science!

Your New Role

You will be part of a team with focus on transfer of CHO cell culture processes directly from our clients to our small-scale (3-5 L) and pilot scale (50 – 200L) laboratories in Hillerød. You will primarily ensure efficient lab operations through meticulous inventory management, sample coordination, and regular maintenance tasks.

Main tasks:

  • Manage laboratory inventory and logistics by ordering raw materials, tracking shipments, and following up with vendors to ensure timely arrival and availability of essential supplies. (40%)
  • Coordinate with external clients on raw material and sample shipments, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the shipping process. (20%)
  • Receive and organize cell banks and other biological materials, with accurate documentation and adherence to storage protocols. (5%)
  • Facilitate internal sample coordination between the laboratory and production floor, maintaining a seamless workflow and clear communication channels. (20%)
  • Perform lab housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace in compliance with safety policies. (5%)
  • Occasionally support upstream processes by assisting in bioreactor setups, performing aseptic sampling, and handling shake flasks and Wavebags as necessary. (10%)

Skills & Knowledge: we hope you possess

  • A background as a technician (laborant) in fermentation (mammalian or microbial)
  • Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external clients.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety and compliance standards.
  • Basic technical understanding of bioreactor setups and aseptic techniques.
  • Proficient in English (speaking, reading and writing) because you will mostly deal with external clients and vendors.

The Drug Substance Process Science organization consists of 4 teams: Cell Culture (Upstream), Purification (Downstream), Tech Transfer and Process Data Analytics. With over 50 persons in the department from more than 10 countries, you will be part of a very dynamic and vibrant international organization.

The upstream group consists of a dedicated and skilled team of 12 scientists and 5 technicians. And we are still expanding.
