The surgery department consists of 5 boarded ECVS specialists and one ECVS residency trained surgeon. We are looking to employ a surgical intern for a 1 year fixed term position. Potential candidates should have completed a 1 year rotating internship. The post would be ideal preparation for application of a surgical residency. Candidates are expected to have good communication skills and excellent written and spoken English.  Responsibilities would include taking part in case management, surgical procedures, re-examination clinics, imaging rounds, seminars and journal clubs. There will be opportunities to participate in clinical research and the expectation would be to present and submit a paper by the end of the internship. Candidates would be expected to take part in a weekend rota, but will be fully supervised by a senior surgery clinician at all times.

Salary Value:£37,000 per annum;
