Job Summary
The Financial coordinator is responsible for coordinating referrals, scheduling appointments, obtaining insurance verification and benefits, tracking, documenting and communicating the authorizations of status to internal and external providers as well as the patient/family.Pay Range
Minimum $22.63 Midpoint $29.99 Maximum $37.34Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Shift Information
This is a full time position. Shifts will be either 8:30am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, pending on the business needs.
Experience
• Required: Minimum two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience in a medical office.
• Preferred: Three (3) years of administrative or clerical experience in a medical field.
Education
• Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
Training
• Required: None required.
• Preferred: Experience with authorization process.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job. Ability to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; pay close attention to details.
• Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
