The Sustainability Innovation lead will lead complex research programs regarding innovative sustainability related initiatives and projects ranging from new products, services, and process design. Should be able fully document and synthesize information using systems thinking, design thinking and human/life centered, and circular economy methods among other advances research methodologies. Data collection, processing and statistical analysis software knowledge is desirable at a senior level. This position is client facing and deals with the development of new business opportunities, with the creation of proposals and the running of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads complex projects, managing teams of researchers from discovery to implementation.

• Design and maintain data systems for qualitative and quantitative data interpretation.

• Produce document processes, data systems, and data flows for research projects to ensure reproducibility.

• Present complex data and research findings clearly and effectively in a compelling manner.

• Manage the studio’s team across all projects and programs from beginning to end.

• Assume responsibility for the overall quality of the Research team’s work across the studio.

• Help to evolve the Research practice, pulling in state-of-the-art methods from external and internal expertise.

• Liaise with Design Research leadership throughout our company and clients’ groups to establish best practices, evolve processes and cultivate community.

• Ensure data is managed in line with Accenture policies and ethical practice.

• Own client relationships from a research standpoint. Provide clients and teams with an expert view of Design Research.

• Attend, help plan, and network at studio and community events, workshops, and conferences as an Accenture ambassador.

• Publish articles, books, and other media on behalf of Accenture.

• Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients.

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of Business and sustainability services experience with a track record for high performance and results

• Experience in professional services, carbon accounting, transformation management, GRI reporting, and sustainability strategy

• Proven consulting and client relationships, project management and execution skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and website content management tools, experience with Workiva a plus

• Strong executive presence, business acumen, sound judgement and grace under pressure

• Essential knowledge in innovation and co creation techniques like system thinking, ethnographic research, data visualization and service design.

• General understatement of circular economy, supply chains, social and governance standards and sustainability regulations

• Proven capacity to adapt and learn t from new environments and changing client requirements.

• Advance capacity to synthesize complex ideas into actionable strategies.

• Excellent writing, editorial and executive communications skills that demonstrate sound thinking and creativity.

• Superior collaboration skills, works as an ally and network builder.

• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
