Position Summary
The 10-week, paid internship program is an opportunity to expand your legal and practical knowledge within financial services. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our legal team in handling various aspects of M&A and regulatory legal work. This role is designed for someone eager to further their knowledge in legal practices, enhance research skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
 
This role is based in New York, NY.

Primary Responsibilities
·         Assist attorneys and legal assistants with day-to-day tasks and responsibilities, including M&A transactions, due diligence and regulatory issues
·         Conduct research on financial regulations, compliance issues, and relevant case law to support legal analyses and recommendations
·         Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including M&A purchase agreements, NDAs, and regulatory filings
·         Support the preparation of materials for legal proceedings and regulatory inquiries
·         Assist with preparing summaries of regulatory communications and help gather necessary information for legal matters
·         Provide general administrative support, including organizing legal files, managing correspondence, and coordinating meetings
 
Qualifications
·         Current students who have completed at least on year of a JD or LLM program
·         Demonstrated track record of academic success and/or professional pursuits
·         High degree of personal and professional maturity – team player
·         Strong organizational and prioritization skills
·         Intellectual curiosity and confidence to take initiative
·         Exceptional work ethic and a deep sense of accountability
·         Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
·         Interest in wealth management

The base pay for this role is $20-25/hour.
