Patients depend on our team for the best in evidence-based care and innovative therapies, such as inhaled nitric oxide, high-frequency oscillation, and invasive and non-invasive ventilator support modalities. Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care.

Summary:

Provides care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

Responsibilities:

Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.

Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.

Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition.

Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required. Other Information: Can be licensed as RT or TT.
