The Lead Director, Mobile App Engineering, will be responsible for managing high performance mobile app teams for Caremark customers. Our mobile apps teams are cross platform – native iOS and Android. This role will require a strong and innovative approach to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail on top of a customer first mindset.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the design, implementation and maintenance associated with native iOS and Android mobile apps - while raising the bar for solutions
  • Leads and collaborates on a cross functional team with design, product, architecture, and operations using agile practices
  • Sets direction for the team, ensuring leaders under them are executing on vision and timeline
  • Drives professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, instrumenting telemetry
  • Mentors team members and contribute to building a strong consistent engineering culture
  • Coaches, provides timely, actionable feedback, and invests time in career development of team members


Required Qualifications

10+ years of Software development experience with at least 7+ years in designing/developing native mobile applications (iOS and Android)

5+ years of experience leading native mobile application engineering teams

3+ years of experience working with highly available, large scale, high performing applications


Preferred Qualifications

Have managed at least 1 to 3 managers

5 or more years of experience with Agile software development

Excellent communications, organization, and time management skills

Experience driving and coordinating complex, cross-functional mobile app initiatives.


Education

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience (Master’s degree preferred)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
