The Human Capital Business Partner acts as an agent of influence for employee and management teams. The position advises and coordinates activities related to employee relations, health and safety, staffing, mobilization, skills development, succession planning and other human resource management activities. In addition, the role is responsible for coaching the site management team and participating in management and employee committees.

  • Salary range 005: $84 600$ to $105 800 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

How you will contribute to collective success:


  • Contribute to and roll out the HC strategic action plan for the site.
  • Act as a change agent with the site managers under your responsibility by recommending appropriate actions for proactive human capital management.
  • Advise managers on practices, policies and corporate procedures relating to proactive human resources management and see to judicious application.
  • Monitor and interpret legal texts and regulations, identify their impacts, inform others.
  • Collaborate in continuous improvement processes related to human resources management.
  • Participate in and coordinate organizational development and activities to create a positive working climate.
  • Act as a change agent fostering a positive health and safety culture.
  • Be involved in the H&S committees as well as implementation of and compliance with H&S procedures, standards and regulations.
  • Ensure that workplace accidents are handled appropriately and make the final decision on return to work.
  • Participate in organizational development, performance management and succession development activities.
  • Act as an agent of change influencing ways of doing business and managing human resources.

The type of team player who fits in:


  • Bachelor of Business Administration, major in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations, required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Generalist in a unionized manufacturing environment required.
  • Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written (an asset).
  • Certified HR professional (an asset).
  • Sound command of labor laws and regulations.
  • Sound command of computer programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
