Technical Writer with Banking Domain

About the Team :

Modern Banking Platform’s is Core engineering team part of the larger Banking Solutions Platform IT Delivery operation, our team is at the forefront of supporting FIS’ next generation Profile Core Banking Solution. We use industry-leading technologies, applications, and automation to deliver and support FIS IT technologies. We are into client deliveries include commitments for our existing production customers as well as customers where implementation is under way.

What you will be doing:

• Researches, writes, edits and proofreads more complex technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures and specifications to provide clients with information regarding technical areas in a less technical way.
• Performs usability testing with clients on documentation and utilizes feedback to improve documentation and standards.
• Composes or updates material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures and installation, operation and maintenance software and hardware.
• Selects appropriate media and distribution methods. Assists in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations to meet business needs.
• Reads previous documentation and design notes and uses computer based training, or company technical products to gather and research technical information for use in more complex documentation. Interviews programmers, engineers, developers and other technical personnel.

​What you bring:

• 7 to 10 experience in technical writing of software documentation, DITA and XML based authoring tools.
• Good Experience in Banking domain
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail and Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Excellent written skills in English with Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development

Added bonus if you have:

• Experience in financial services and fast paced innovation team highly desirable
• Knowledge of financial services industry or FinTech's.
• Knowledge of CMS
