Responsibilities:

  • Injection Molds Maintenance.

  • Injection Molds Repair.

  • Injection Mold adjustment and set up.

  • Control of Injection Mold spare parts.

  • Design and Construction of manufacturing and quality fixtures.

  • Indicate/square vises and fixtures; set tool and work offsets; use probing cycles when available.

  • Machine mold components to print on steels and pre-hardened materials; deburr and prepare for assembly.

  • High-speed mill graphite electrodes and precision mill copper electrodes with material-appropriate strategies (dust/heat/burr management).

  • (Preferred) Create CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) toolpaths (2D/3D rough/finish), import STEP/IGES, post and verify G-code.

  • Perform first-article inspection and complete inspection reports; feedback improvements to CAM and process.

  • Maintain 5S, tool libraries, and consumable controls; update ERP travelers/work orders.

  • Support incoming mold acceptance checks and post-run condition reviews.

  • Monitor production schedules to ensure molds are maintained and prepped to minimize production interruptions and downtime.

  • Analyze preventive maintenance activity; recommend and implement approved changes to frequencies and/or activities.

  • Communicate to supervisor when mold/auxiliary concerns cannot be resolved within authorized scope or capabilities.

  • Transport and prepare molds for storage; ensure molds and hose kits (water, pneumatic, hydraulic) have designated locations and are properly stored and maintained.

  • Practice good housekeeping and follow all safety policies when conducting work.

Qualifications:

  • 2–3+ years setting up and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining centers.
  • Demonstrated experience machining graphite and/or copper electrodes; knowledge of dust/burr/heat management.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Technician of Precision Mechanical or demonstrated experience in this field.
