The opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Experience Product Manager to join our digital team. This is an individual contributor role that reports to the Director, Digital Experience Product Strategy. This role supports the digital advisor and customer experience for Manulife’s Canada Retail Investments business, which includes a portfolio of websites and tools at various points in the product lifecycle. You will work daily with a cross-functional team that includes product, design, and engineering to solve interesting problems with a focus on value, viability, usability, and feasibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital product management, demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate and collaborate with a wide array of stakeholders and team members!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team of product, design, and engineering to complete product discovery and delivery with a focus on driving outcomes and high-quality experiences

  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch optimization

  • Conduct market research and analyze customer feedback to identify areas of concern and opportunities for product enhancements and new features

  • Define product requirements and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with the product roadmap, and support product team with feature refinement and testing

  • Monitor product performance and outcomes using key metrics and analytics, and make data-driven decisions to improve user experience and achieve business goals

  • Foster a culture of communication and teamwork by effectively collaborating with team members to create and maintain alignment

  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and product management best practices

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of proven experience working on digital products as a product manager, designer, engineer, or data analyst

  • Demonstrated understanding of product discovery and delivery techniques, including agile development methodologies

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use sound judgment to assess risks and create data-informed proposals

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and integrate knowledge from multiple functional business areas, such as engineering, design, finance, sales, marketing, or operations

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and stakeholders

  • Passion for creating digital experiences that delight customers

  • Experience in asset management is a plus

Salary range is expected to be between

$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
