Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for an F-22 DevSecOps Software Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join the F-22 Missions Systems group to support the continued modernization of the software development environment that located in Berkeley, MO.   This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

A successful candidate will leverage experience to continue modernize of the current F-22 Mission System Software development environment Support includes CI/CD pipeline, test automation, containerization and cloud standup.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including:  Associate and Experienced Level DevSecOps Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems

  • Performs software research and trade studies

  • Troubleshoots software issues

  • Works under general supervision

  • Works in Agile development environment

  • Continual research, development and support of tools, scripts and code to enhance the software development and build environments

  • Coordinate with security and other development/partnering teams

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance and program clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).  Ability to obtain program access for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Ability to obtain program access for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

  • Experience in Agile development environment

  • Experience with version control tools such as git, Bitbucket, etc.

  • 1+ fulltime years of experience in application development

  • 1+ years’ experience with at least one high level languages such as, python, perl, rust, Java, C#, or C/C++

  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems

  • Development experience on Linux and Windows platforms

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Experience with containers

  • Experience with software design/architect

  • Experience with Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket or other CI/CD pipeline tools

  • Experience in Artifactory

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel:

Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.

Relocation:

position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.  Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Summary pay range for Associate: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00

Summary pay range for Experienced: $104,550.00 - $141,450.00
