Job Description

The Finance Manager serves as a strategic and operational partner supporting the financial performance of Ross Heart Hospital (RHH). This role leads day-to-day financial operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, revenue and charge capture oversight, and maintenance of strong internal controls.

The position partners closely with clinical and operational leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include monitoring labor, supply, implant, and procedural cost drivers; providing actionable financial insights; supporting business planning and ROI analysis; and identifying opportunities to improve margin and operational efficiency.

The Finance Manager also supports capital planning and long-range financial modeling while serving as the primary finance liaison across RHH cost centers. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, sound financial judgment, and the ability to build trusted partnerships across clinical, operational, and corporate teams.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire:               

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive healthcare finance or accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of hospital finance, inpatient operations, and procedural cost structures
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to translate financial data into operational insight
  • Proficiency with Excel, ERP systems (e.g., Workday), and financial reporting systems (e.g., Strata)

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, or related)
  • Experience specifically supporting academic medical centers/hospital operations
  • Familiarity with costing, revenue cycle processes, and hospital reimbursement
