Key responsibilities

In this role, you will join our central HR Service Center “HR Operational Services Germany” in Mannheim, responsible for delivering operational HR services efficiently and in a centralized manner. With a strong customer focus, you will ensure professional support for the HR community, employees, and ABB leaders.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Handling defined administrative HR processes with a labor law focus (e.g., job changes, parental leave, or partial retirement) in a timely manner and with a strong focus on quality.

  • Supporting and collaborating across different HR service lines in selected HR processes, as well as independently driving defined HR projects.

  • Identifying optimization and simplification opportunities in existing processes and actively contributing to the development and implementation of improvements.

  • Managing the workload and ensuring efficient processing through a structured way of working.

  • Advising and supporting HR Business Partners, managers, and employees as a point of contact for processes within the Employee Life Cycle.

You will become part of an engaged and highly competent team within a globally operating organization, taking on operational responsibilities while actively contributing to the further development of both the team and HR processes.

Qualifications for the role

  • You hold a completed commercial qualification or a degree in business administration.

  • You bring ideally initial experience in the HR field.

  • You have preferably knowledge of common MS Office tools, SAP R/3 HR and Workday, as well as experience with AI tools and technologies.

  • You demonstrate strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Your working style is characterized by a cooperative, solution-oriented approach combined with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • You communicate confidently in German and English and are able to present complex matters in a clear and concise way.
