Job Description:

Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsible for managing projects from inception to implementation. Leads project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budgets, and meet business needs. Supports Capabilities 360 (C360), an executive leadership forum comprised of Payment Services leaders across Product, Operations and Business Technology.  This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day C360 operations (agenda, pre-read materials, calendar and mailbox) as well as supporting the communication strategy (SharePoint, templates, diagrams and reference materials). This individual will collaborate with key stakeholders and business areas to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement enhancements. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers business requirements and translates them for project teams. Manage all aspects of each projects, including identifying stakeholders, understanding dependencies, timelines and deliverables. Leads project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budgets, and meet business needs.
  • Assembles project teams. Aligns roles and responsibilities for all project resources. Ensures project progress is tracked and team members are providing progress updates.
  • Assists with business requirements analyses. Manages project scopes, issues, and risks. Ensures change controls are executed appropriately. Estimates work efforts and manages resources.
  • Manages C360 calendar, mailbox, meeting attendees, presenter topics and pre-read materials to ensure accurate and timely updates are communicated.
  • Documents agendas, meeting minutes, action items, project plans, and issue logs. Communicate project statuses to stakeholders.
  • Supports C360 communication by maintaining C360 SharePoint site, templates, diagrams and reference materials as needed.
  • Streamlines processes by exploring new technology capabilities, focusing on value-add tasks and incorporating stakeholder feedback.  

Minimum Qualifications 

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Information Technology, Business Administration and Management, or related field 
  • 4+ years of experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related experience
  • Agile and/or Kanban, PMP
  • Payments experience, financial services experience or familiarity
  • Excellent communication/collaboration skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, solve problems, think strategically, and be proactive
  • Ability to manage a range of projects and responsibilities simultaneously with strict deadlines
  • Willingness to be curious and ask questions

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
