The Opportunity:
CACI is searching for a Director of General Accounting to join the team at our Reston, VA headquarters. Reporting to the Vice President of Accounting, this position is a critical member of the enterprise accounting team, will interface with leaders from across the organization, and will be responsible for ensuring various accounting activities are accurately performed in compliance with GAAP, government compliance regulations, and internal control requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead various monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including review of journal entries, consolidation, account reconciliations for key risk areas, as well as the quarterly fluctuation analysis.
- Oversee CACI’s accounting policy and procedure governance to drive policy compliance, proper accounting treatment, and overall optimization of related processes across the enterprise.
- Partner with Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting on evaluation of new accounting standards and accounting for non-routine transactions including deployment of any related new processes, policies, and training.
- Coordinate with the various inventory locations and CACI Program Finance to develop consistent inventory policies.
- Participate in the CACI inventory tool project and offer insight to best practices around inventory reserves, cycle counts, and labor capitalization.
- Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis teams in analyzing monthly account balances and financial information.
- Collaborate with SOX Compliance and Internal Controls on continuous improvement initiatives to ensure policies, process, and controls are effective, efficient, and aligned to the current business environment and risks.
- Participate in merger and acquisition accounting activities including due diligence, purchase accounting, opening balance sheet validations, and integration of acquired entities.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to research and provide proactive value-added accounting advice in support of contemplated transactions.
- Provide governance and oversight of offline subsidiary accounting activities and financial submissions.
- Coordinate audit activities including external auditor financial statement quarterly reviews and annual audits as well as DCAA incurred cost audits.
- Execute special projects as assigned, including G&L optimization and automation efforts, and other transformation projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- 13+ years of experience in Accounting (preferably with enterprise consolidation experience)
- 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Adept at using Deltek Costpoint
- Knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, auditing standards, SOX and industry best practices.
Desired:
- CPA strongly preferred
- Professional experience in a government contracting environment

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$107,800 - $237,000
