Job Description Summary

Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of GIS products, test includes -Mechanical functionality, high voltage testing ,tightness testing ,CT testing  to ensure functionality and performance.
    Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product specifications and customer requirements.

  • Identify, document, and track defects systematically, ensuring timely resolution and suggest repair and rework procedures
    Collaborate effectively with quality, projects, engineering  and  other stakeholders to gain a clear understanding of product features and functionalities.

  • Perform data validation and analysis to ensure the accuracy and reliability of GIS testing outputs, confirming adherence to standards.

  • Provide constructive feedback on usability, identifying areas for improvement to enhance overall product performance.

  • Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried employees. This does not include production supervisors who oversee hourly employees.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Manufacturing & Operation Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Desired Characteristics

  • Performing Test lab in charge role

  • Managing - Customer FAT & people management on testing

  • Ensuring effective utilization of test labs and equipment’s

  • Should be expert in terms of technical and product knowledge

  • Low voltage expert - managing substation simulation and panel testing .
