The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Supply Technician 1 (Delivery Services), Administrative Services [R0144562]
ROLE of the POSITION
UNLV Delivery Services is seeking motivated individuals to fill several Supply Technician 1 positions. The available roles facilitate the last mile delivery of goods to the various UNLV locations across the Las Vegas Valley. Incumbents will be assigned varying tasks including parcel and mail receipt, daily campus deliveries, processing outbound shipments, field phone and email requests, scanning documents for digital delivery, move and assemble office furniture, and other delivery centric activities. The Supply Technician should display the ability to work independently, and as part of a team, to provide exemplary services to all faculty, staff, students, and vendors. Additionally, this position will support all Delivery Services functions, contributing to all services offered by the department, including Property Control, and The Surplus Center.
In this position, incumbents will be occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods. This is a physically demanding role involving frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, crouching, walking, and standing. There are potential situations/circumstances that require safe practice/procedural assessment regarding resources (tools, labor, equipment, etc.) to perform responsibly.
The incumbent is expected to maintain and safely operate material handling equipment, practice proper lifting techniques, and adhere to Risk Management and OSHA guidelines and policies. Additionally, the incumbent will uphold policies put forth by the NSHE Board of Regents, and the State of Nevada, Governor’s Office.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition for continuing employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included maintaining inventory records, inventory storage and handling, shipping and receiving materials and equipment, and/or ordering supplies, equipment and materials; OR one year of experience as a Supply Assistant in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

SALARY
Grade 25, Step 1, salary $42,636.96. "Step" means the number assigned by the Division of Human Resource Management to identify a specific rate of pay within a grade. Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
