The Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift oversees the Fabrication and Welding areas, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards. The Production Supervisor coordinates daily activities and leads production team members to meet quality expectations, production goals, and customer needs. This position operates on a Monday–Thursday shift from 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM, with Friday hours scheduled as needed based on production and overtime demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the production team to achieve quality, efficiency, and safety goals

• Review daily production schedules and allocate resources to meet targets and maintain workflow

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth production flow

• Enforce company policies and procedures, including safety and compliance standards

• Support hiring, training, development, and performance evaluation of production personnel

• Conduct regular performance reviews and deliver constructive feedback

• Partner with manufacturing engineering to develop and improve production processes

• Work closely with quality assurance to address and resolve product quality issues

• Track and report daily production metrics and performance against goals

• Document and communicate issues affecting quality or production schedules

• Complete requisitions for tools, equipment, and supplies as needed

• Ensure Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) are implemented accurately in collaboration with engineering teams

• Use data and analytics to support strategic and operational decision-making

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• 1–3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or similar environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience training production personnel

Preferred:

• Associate’s degree or higher

• Familiarity with production processes and quality control standards

Working Conditions
This role is primarily based on the production floor, where noise levels may vary. Candidates must be able to wear steel-toe footwear and stand or walk for extended periods.

The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $66,500 - $95,000 annually.The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Owatonna, MN and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength’s Production Bonus Plan, which offers the potential to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
