Responsible for driving and maintaining the Mobile Medical Unit on a daily basis. Performs various clerical duties, ensures the safety of vehicle and assists medical personnel during scheduled clinic sessions. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

A Brief Overview
Responsible for driving and maintaining the Mobile Medical Unit on a daily basis. Performs various clerical duties, ensures the safety of vehicle and assists medical personnel during scheduled clinic sessions. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

What you will do
  • Drives the mobile unit vehicle to and from each clinic site.
  • Receives and/or enters radiology exam requests and data into RIS per established departmental procedures.
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the mobile unit vehicle is properly loaded and effectively manages resources such as supplies and equipment. Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area.
  • Demonstrates professional work behavior and excellent customer service routinely in all interactions.
  • Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Maintains daily logs and maintenance schedules.
  • Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.

Education/Formal Training Requirements
  • Required - High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience Requirements
  • Preferred - Customer service 1-3 years
  • Preferred - Driving a commercial vehicle 1-3 years

Licenses and Certifications Requirements
  • Required - Class B Commercial Driver License - Tennessee - Tennessee Motor Vehicle
  • Preferred - Class B Commercial Driver License - Mississippi Motor Vehicle
  • Preferred - Class B Commercial Driver License - Arkansas Motor Vehicle

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of appropriate behavior when greeting and assisting patients, family members and physicians.
  • Ability to perform computerized data collection and entry and to navigate in a windows environment.
  • Ability to learn, synthesize and maintain up-to-date working knowledge of the department, personnel, and changing technology.
  • Ability to communicate promptly, clearly and accurately in both written and oral form.
  • Proven record of providing excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and basic proficiency level for windows-based software applications.
  • Ability to organize tasks and maintain control of work flow.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve routine problems using policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow written instructions with ability to read a map.
  • Must be deemed insurable by MLH insurance carrier; MVR will be checked prior to transfer or employment.

Supervision Provided by this Position
  • There is no lead or supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position.

Physical Demands
  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: heavy work - exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The Associate may be required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.).
