Job Description:

HEME Heavy Fabrication team is leading worldwide common process for HEX in both Caterpillar facilities and outside suppliers who produce HEX Heavy Fabrication parts.  HEME Heavy Fabrication team deals with management of common processes and quality control management for large fabricated structures of Hydraulic Excavators.

HEME Heavy Fabrication Team has an open position for internships.

This position will be responsible for :

• Support improvement activities for welding and machining
• Support 3D modeling of welds
• Support CMM measured data analysis
• Support weld distortion analysis

Requirements:

• Knowledge of welding (GMAW)
• Knowledge of machining (for Carbon Steel, NC programing, milling & boring)
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Computer skills of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Superior skills of communication in Japanese and English.

Preferred:

• Experience of welding
• Experience of NC programing and machining
• Skill of 3D modeling using Creo
